1. Any trade can be overturned if the commish and co-commish feel that it is a very bad deal

1.0 GM RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Responding to trade offers, no matter how bad the offer may be.
2. All GM's are required to submit lines (after trades,injuries or been awhile since you last have)
3. Must ice 12 forwards, 6 defenceman, 2 goalies at all times NHL and AHL.
1.1 LEAGUE RULES

1. Injuries will be turned ON
2. Run 2 OHL seasons to 1 NHL season
3. Players only age on their actual birthday
4. Playoffs are run same as NHL
5. Overtime will consist of 3 on 3 play
6. There is a drafy lottery for the teams that don't make the playoffs
7. No team will be allowed to move to a new city/change name
8. Players that play out of position will be affected by this
9. A player making more than 3 Million but an overall of less than 68 can only play in the AHL under the following circumstances. The team must buy 2/3 of the contract in cash for him to be able to play in the AHL. Buyout is the total contract. So a player making 4M for 4 years would require a one time payment of 10.67M.
10. Front Loaded contracts will not be approved
11. Max of 2 No Trade Clause per Roster
12. Any player signed in Free Agency can't be NHL Rerated that season
1.2 ENTRY DRAFT

1. Entry drafts will be conducted every sim season, odds one season and evens the next. We will determine draft class by random.org
2. Drafts will be three rounds
3. Draft order is determined by a draft lottery
4. Any player not in the sim is legal to be drafted as long as its from previous drafts

2. Entry level contracts will be 3 years @ 1M
3. Any player 23 and up with no NHL contract will be signed to a 1 year deal @ 1M
4. Creating prospects will cost $500,000 per player
5. Any player 23 years old and up will be created off NHL stats and will come with the NHL contract. (If no NHL stats then will be created off Hockey futures)
6. Prospects must be created with in 6 years of being drafted in the OHL, after that they will become Free Agents
7. GM's have the choice to have the prospect created off hockey futures or NHL stats when player is 22 and younger
8. MAX creations of 5 players per season
9. Prospects created off NHL Stats will be created with there actual contracts
10. Prospects being created off NHL stats will cost $750,000 to be created
1.4 SALARY CAP

1. Salary cap shall be set at 68,000,000
2. AHL salary cap will be set at 5,000,000 (AHL is 10% of players salary)
3. Cap floor will be 16,000,000 less than Salary Cap
4. Cap will not change
5. Coaches will not go against the cap
6. MAX UFA salary is 11M, MIN UFA salary is 600K
7. Teams over the cap will face penalties
First offence - Top Scorer gets a 5 game suspension
Second Offence - $500,000 Fine + top scorer suspended 10 games
Third Offence - $1,000,000 Fine + top scorer suspended 15 games
Fourth Offence - Third round pick
8. Teams under the cap will have a player forced to NHL
1.5 UFA

1. MAX UFA salary is 11M
2. MIN UFA salary is 600K
3. UFA is done via the Client
4. UFA is available all season
5. Maximum 10 offers out at one time
6. Player will be added to your roster upon next update
7. Every off-season i will be redoing a couple free agents to make free agency better(3-5 playerss)
8. Players signed in free agency can't be traded for 41 games
9. Signing bonus's will be taken from your Cash at time of signing
10. Player becomes a UFA at age 23

2. RFA's will have compensation tied to them
3. You must own your own pick to bid on a player.
4. Owner of player will have 24 hours to accept or decline offer sheet

1.7 RETIREMENTS

1. When a player retires that was signed after he turned 35+ years old, his cap hit will be with your team til the contract would have ended. He must play at least one year on that new deal.
2. A retired player can be signed as a coach if he retired with your team, they will be assigned as follows

1.8 GOALIE RULES

1. Goalies can play a MAXIMUM of 70 Games
2. If they play over 70 games they are suspended for the 1st round of the playoffs plus the team will be fined 500,000
1.9 COACHES

1. Coaches will not go against the salary cap
2. Teams may sign a retired player to be there coach
3. Teams can only poach 1 coach per season, but you will have to pay the other team $1,000,000
4. Coaches will be signed out of Free Agency pool
5. To fire a coach please have a new one signed before doing so, and contact commish @
buckie54@hotmail.com or on the portal. It will cost $300,000 to fire a coach
6. Coaches contracts will be a max of 6 years

2. It must state C,LW,RW,D for a player to play those positions. C/W or W does not mean that they can play both LW/RW

2.2 WAIVERS
------------
1. Waivers will be in play, criteria will be age, skill, salary
2. Any player 23 and under can travel from NHL to AHL without waivers if they are making 3M or less
3. Player 24 + has to pass through waivers to be AHL eligible
4. Skaters with overall of 68 or higher are ineligible for the minors, can still be put on waivers though
5. Goaltenders with an overall of 75 + are ineligible for AHL
6. To claim players it will cost you $500,000 which goes to the team losing the player
7. Players will not have to clear waivers in the off-season/pre-season
8. How to claim, open up client load latest file. Click on the waivers link once in your team and it will show who is on waivers
2.3 TRADES

1. Trading will be done via portal
2. Trades are inputted after the sim that day
3. You can only trade four years in advance of the current years picks
4. You can trade coaches
5. Commish does have the power to veto any trade, would only happen if i felt a GM is trying to destroy their team
6. Teams that miss the playoffs can trade during the playoffs. No trades are processed til the off-season though
7. You can trade Picks, Players, Cash
8. Teams can retain salary as well from a players contract (50% MAX)
9. Teams can only retain salary for 3 contracts
2.4 RERATES

1. Rerates are done via sim re-rates
2. Rerates are done in the off-season
3. NHL rerates are a MAX change of 4
4. AHL rerates are a max change of 5
5. One NHL rerate every 2 years upon GM's request. Once NHL rerated they get their NHL contract
2.5 FINANCES

1. No teams are allowed to be in the negative for cash
2. Tanking your team will hurt your future finances
3. T.V deal for all teams in the first three seasons. 1st year 10M 2nd year 7M 3rd year 5M
4. Writing articles will earn you $250,000 per article (max one per week) Payments per month
5. Each team will begin with $80,000,000
6. Teams that run out of cash due to poor spending will have the GM fired
2.6 BUYOUTS

1. Each team will be allotted one buyout every two seasons
2. A buyout will make your team carry 1/3 of the salary per season for double the years that were left on the contract
3. You are not allowed to sign a player you bought out that season
4. A buyout will also cost your team 1/3 of the remaining salary on the contract
2.7 AWARDS

1. Awards will be handed out every off-season, also cash
2. These will be GM voted for AHL only, Commish will decide the 3 finalists, then GM's will vote for who they think deserved the award
3. One player can win multiple awards but will only get one bonus points
4. NHL Awards are chosen by STHS Simulator

Stanley Cup - You are given 5 points to use on any NHLer or coach on the team, also awarded 3 Million cash
Norris Trophy - You are given 5 points to use on the winner. Also awarded 1 Million cash
Vezina Trophy - You are given 5 points to use on the winner, also awarded 1 Million Cash
Hart Memorial Trophy - You are given 5 points to use on the winner, Also awarded 1 Million cash
Art Ross Trophy - You are given 5 points to use on the winner, Also awarded 1 Million cash
Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy - You are given 5 points to use on the winner, also awarded 1 Million cash
AHL
Calder Cup - You are given 5 points to use on any AHLer or coach on the team and also awarded 1.5 Million cash
Norris Trophy - You are given 5 points to use on the winner.
Vezina Trophy - You are given 5 points to use on the winner
Hart Memorial Trophy - You are given 5 points to use on the winner
Art Ross Trophy - You are given 5 points to use on the winner
Maurice "Rocket" Richard Trophy - You are given 5 points to use on the winner
** Maximum two points per category. Also if you win the Cup plus another award you can not double up points on one player/coach.
2.8 EXPANSION RULES
1. 24 teams existing in the league at the time of the draft were each allowed to protect either 1 goaltender, 6 defensemen, and 12 forwards or two goaltenders, 6 defensemen, and 10 forwards or 1 goaltender, 7 defencemen, 11 forwards.
2. Max loss of one 20 year old and younger
3. Max loss of two 23 years old and younger
4. Max loss of 1 Goalie
5. Each team will lose 4 Players
6. Expansion teams will draft 3rd or 5th in the entry draft when they enter
7. Expansion teams will have there own 5 pick prospect draft before the entry draft as well
8. Any expiring player an expansion team drafts will come to there roster with a 1 year contract
9. Any prospects a team has not created are off limits. Cannot be selected
10. Any expired contract is able to be selected from your roster and will be given a 1 year deal at NHL contract
11. Expansion to be held after next season, so YR 5.
